Position Summary

Good projects don’t stay on track by accident.

They stay on track because someone is paying attention to the details, including progress, costs, timelines, and asking questions when something doesn’t line up.

At the same time, safe and reliable facilities don’t just happen. They depend on strong engineering, continuous improvement, and people who understand how systems perform in the real world.

That’s where you come in.

As the EIT, Project Controls, you’ll play a key role in both the execution and performance of our projects and facilities. You’ll support the Operations and Engineering teams by contributing to program management and engineering activities that expand facility capacity, improve asset reliability, safety, and efficiency.

This role offers exposure to the full project and asset lifecycle from early development and design through construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, expediting tasks, tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing risk control solutions
  • Compile, organize, and analyze project and operational data for reporting and decision making
  • Support development and maintenance of project and asset management programs, including Management of Change (MOC), procurement, integrity management, and engineering document control
  • Perform data trending and analysis to identify optimization opportunities across projects and facilities
  • Assist with maintenance and reliability improvements of facility systems
  • Work closely with field teams to provide timely engineering support for daily operations and maintenance programs, lead troubleshooting efforts, and develop practical solutions
  • Contribute to small- to medium-complexity projects through concept development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up
  • Support corporate reporting on KPIs and new development status
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Operations, HSE, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure alignment and accurate information flow

  • Registered as an E.I.T. with APEGA (or eligible to register by your first day)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and new systems
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
  • Ability to collaborate closely with field operations, value hands-on learning, and develop practical, results-oriented solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety programs and maintaining incident- and injury-free working conditions

What Helps (But Isn’t Required)

  • 1+ year of relevant engineering, operations, or project experience
  • Exposure to project environments or project development work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with MS Project, Bluebeam, and BI solution tools
  • Experience with data analysis, facility operations, or reliability improvement initiatives

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and new systems
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
